Recently was International Coastal Cleanup day. PEPA, the organization that I work for organized for two beached to be cleaned in Port Antonio. The day was a huge success. We had the local Lions Club, a couple Peace Corps Volunteers, Youth Volunteers, local fisherman’s group and the Tourism Club from the local agricultural college. We hauled so much trash from the beaches included dresses, shoes, food containers, tons of plastic bottles and a car windshield. It tool less than two hours to clean the entire thing. Here are some pictures.
